Antislavery Society Posters

here are some links that will give you more information on the Quakers and their involvement in the antislavery movement. You can use these sites to find your two facts, and then after you know more about the beliefs and actions of the antislavery society, you can come up with your slogan and search for an illustration that will help convince people to join your movement.

Extra-Credit Option!

If you finish your creative project early on Wednesday, you could do the following for two points of extra credit:

1. Read this article about Boston King, a slave who obtained his freedom after the Revolutionary War. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aia/part2/2p60.html

2. After you read, answer these on a separate piece of paper:
-Describe the process by which King, who was American-born and the son of an African slave, wound up living in West Africa.

-What made King decide to escape and join the British, and what hardships did he endure after that?

-How did King's attitude toward White people change after he spent time in England?
